A couple weeks ago, my family celebrated my youngest brother’s 30th birthday by vacationing at a resort in Reunion, which is just south of Kissimmee, Florida.  The grounds were covered with huge magnolia trees.  I was instantly drawn to them.  I had to grab my camera and snap away.  They were simply stunning.  Those big trees are what inspired this piece.  I love the texture in this piece.  I wasn’t going for a totally realistic look with this one and the variations and deep contrast make it work.  Do you agree?  Have a great week, everyone!
