This is my brother’s dog, Blaire.  I painted this portrait for him because it includes the two things he loves most – his dog Blaire and the farm. Adam loves the farm so much.  When we were kids, he would spend summers in Minnesota on my uncle’s farm.  He’s always been an outdoor type.  A few years ago he got his dog, Blaire.  My husband and I were with him at the time.  It’s a day I’ll never forget! As crazy as Blaire is, she is definitely Adam’s baby.

I painted the background first this time.  I’ve never done that before but I think it turned out okay.  I couldn’t resist changing Blaire’s eye a little.  She looks a little bug-eyed in the picture.  😉
